Barefoot Republic seeks to honor God and share the good news of Christ’s reconciling love with the world.

Our Mission

Barefoot Republic Camp facilitates Christ-centered relationships between individuals from diverse racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds through an equally diverse platform of artistic, athletic and team-building programs.

The most beautiful thing about Barefoot’s mission is the diversity and everybody being accepted—everybody being one. That vision—there’s nothing really like it. I love how Barefoot is so unique. There’s not another organization like Barefoot.
— Sophia, Summer Intern

What SETS US APART

In 2018 alone, Barefoot Republic served over 2,000 campers representing 60 different ethnicities. Our overnight camp facility is located in Fountain Run, Kentucky and throughout the summer is home to over 700 rising 3rd-12th graders. Our week long day camps sessions run at venues throughout the greater Nashville and Franklin areas in Tennessee and reaches 1,000+ each summer. At Barefoot, we strive to facilitate Christ-centered relationships between individuals from diverse racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds through an equally diverse platform of artistic, athletic and team-building programs. Our goal is to reflect God’s pursuit of His children through interests and passions, interpersonal relationships, and equipping students with tools for exploring and discovering God’s presence in their lives.

We carry out our mission by through the act of giving out scholarships to half, sometimes over half, of our campers at each session of camp. We also work with organizations that strive to do what we do; give kids the opportunity to flourish in a safe and nurturing environment. In 2018, we gave out over $462,000 away in scholarship money to deserving campers in need. We raise these scholarships through a community of those who know us and love our campers well.

We need YOU to become a member of that community.
